Linux likes to mess with the MBR, apparently

So I have a crappy Toshiba C40, Windows had been corrupted on it for the tenth time so I thought why not try Ubuntu on it, I did, it worked fine but I needed Windows Back so I got a Windows 7 pen drive and it was giving out all kinds of errors, I did some more research and found out that Ubuntu had screwed with the master boot record and made Windows 7 very hard to install on it, so I decided to get the operating system that it came with, Windows Ten, I don't like ten but it was the only version of Windows that would install with the messed up master boot record.

As the MBR is fixed, I might get Windows 7 on it or a custom Linux which keeps the MBR intact, or maybe just stay with Windows Ten, what do you think?
